“One-Hundred and Counting!”

This is my 100th article published on Huffington Post.

*********************

It hasn’t been 100 days, or 100 years, or even 100 victories.

But each one has been a victory even though it’s not tied to seasons, or sobriety, or jail time. It’s not historical or record breaking, but each is painstakenly researched, often prescient, generally significant, and usually relevant.

What, then, is it?

“Diminishing Returns”

The Romney’s still don’t get why they lost the election!

Mitt and Ann Romney appeared on the Sunday show on Fox News for an interview which not only showed they still don’t understand why they didn’t win the White House, but also, that they’d learned nothing from the experience.

They sat down with Chris Wallace and blamed everyone but themselves. It was the media. Mitt wasn’t given the opportunity to show the ‘real’ Mitt. He made an ‘unfortunate’ statement about the 47% moochers at a private gathering which was taken out of context. His team wouldn’t let him be Mitt.

This drew elevated applause from the ex-military audience, long separated from the ravages of war. The perfect gathering for a draft-dodging, war-mongering, right-wingnut like Romney?

Another war? Are you serious?

“The Two Faces of Mitt”

Mitt Romney has a problem connecting with ‘real’ people.

He’s been chosen to represent the Republican Party, having tied up the delegates a couple of weeks ago in Texas. Now he’s finding it difficult to change his strategy — and his message. He thinks he can do that with an Etch-a-Sketch.

But, the nominee of the Republican Party is still having difficulty convincing people of his sincerity despite being the presumptive nominee for several months.

Even to his own party — a party that has been slow to rally behind their newly nominated candidate — struggles with Mitt.

Why can’t the successful businessman gain traction?
