“The World According To Huelskamp!”

Maddow takes on Representative Huelskamp after SOTU.

After the President gave his State of the Union address on Tuesday night MSNBC commentator Rachel Maddow interviewed Representative Tim Huelskamp who had sent out some rather accusative tweets about the speech and Obama’s Presidency.

Though the tweets were strange, some almost incomprehensible, Maddow’s questions seemed to confuse the Representative from Kansas and things slid downhill from the very first question.

What’s wrong with Kansas?

“The Summers of Our Discontent”

This article is the 98th posted on The Huffington Post.

*********************

The President named a new Fed Chairman.

Janet Yellen, currently Vice Chairwoman under Ben Bernanke, was selected by President Obama to head the most important financial institution in the world. The best choice he could make.

He was poised to make a huge mistake. One we couldn’t live with; one that would have caused more damage than has already been done.

The name of Larry Summers was recycled by the Obama administration, this time as a candidate for Chairman of the Federal Reserve.

But was Summers the right man for the job?

“This Is Not Iraq: This is Syri…us”

This article has been poste at Huffington Post. To read is at Huff Post click on the link.

*********************************

The drums of war are being beaten again!

Those who advocated an unnecessary and illegal war in Iraq are now pounding the drums to get us involved in the Middle East again — this time in Syria.

We’re told that Syria is much different than Iraq. If the word ‘wolf’ comes to mind, ignore it. These are the same people that wanted to attack Iran less than a year ago because they were eerily close to a nuclear weapon.

Is Syria really different?

“Rubio’s Cube”

This article is now on The Huffington Post. It is the 84th article they’ve posted.

*************************

The right-wing tries again to rebut the President!

Marco Rubio, chosen as the sacrificial lamb for the GOP, faced the cameras after the President’s State of the Union address on Tuesday night to deliver the Republican view of our current situation.

Like a jumbled Rubik’s Cube, Rubio and the GOP find themselves in a state of confusion.

Unfortunately, there was only one watershed moment for Senator Rubio in his vain attempt to discredit a President who has found a voice and is rising in popularity.

So who is right in this moment in time; this extraordinary moment in history?

“It Was the Economy, Stupid”

This article was posted on Huffington Post. To read it on Huff Post click on the link.

************************

Obama won a second term with an impressive victory!

Apparently he was able to overcome a bad economy, high unemployment, an incredibly inept foreign policy, a declining stock market, high taxes, failing banks, and the exploitation of small business.

He also overcame being a socialist, commie, marxist, born in Kenya, a Muslim warring against christianity, who associates with terrorists and refuses to show his college transcripts.

So, how did Obama get 332 electoral votes with such a horrendous record?

“A Colorless Convention”

Republicans try to paint a more colorful self-portrait!

Last week in Tampa, a pretentious Republican party officially nominated their candidate for the office of President. They hoped to arouse their base and make the ticket more pleasing to the American voters.

Trailing by large margins in key voting groups — women, African Americans, Hispanics, gays — Republicans marched out token minority speakers to present themselves as a party of diversity; a party of color.

But is this the real Republican Party?

“Send In the Clowns”

Posted on The Huffington Post on Tuesday, August 3rd. Click on link to read it on HuffPost.

***********************************

Republicans seem to be getting crazier with every election!

Tennessee Representative, Marsha Blackburn’s, appearance on The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell a week ago on Monday night begged the question—what is wrong with the Republican Party?

The party that collectively invokes Ronald Reagan at every possible opportunity would have difficulty nominating the Gipper to represent their ideals today. He would be too moderate for the scattered, displaced, sometimes on the edge of insanity, Republican Party.

What has caused this extreme change in the Party of Lincoln?

“The President Caves and America Loses!”

As Democrats give-in to unreasonable Republican demands this country slides further downhill!

The agreement struck at the last hour on Friday, a vote to allow the government to pay its bills for one more week and not get shutdown, does little to reduce the deficit and more to destroy the middle-class.

A vibrant middle-class has been America’s strength and driver of growth for over 65 years. That is all about to end thanks to the insidious ideology of Reagan inspired Republicans and the insanity of the Tea Party.

In a last minute effort to prevent another government shutdown, President Obama, and, Majority Leader Harry Reid, gave up five-billion more in pain-inducing, economic-destroying spending cuts.

What about shared sacrifice?

“Sanctimonious Commander-in-Brief”

This article has been posted at The Huffington Post and is available by clicking on the Huff Post link here.

The Tax Reform compromise may be President Obama’s Swan Song!

The release of the compromised tax bill, negotiated between the Administration and Republicans, has resulted in acrimony between Obama and the congressional members of his party.

His uncharacteristic display of anger over his tax deal was misdirected at Democrats who feel the agreement struck between the President and the GOP is bad on several levels. His anger should have been leveled at the Republicans who shamelessly held crucial parts of the tax bill hostage.

He insists that this compromise is “a good deal for the American people.”

Is it such a good deal; the only deal he could obtain?

“Making All the Wrong Moves!”

Posted on The Huffington Post on Monday morning under politics. Click on the link to go to the article on The Huff Post.

Hoops should have taught the President about making the right moves!

When Barack Obama was elected our 44th President it was a great day for America.

He was educated, articulate, analytical, and compassionate—all qualities absent in our previous president. He appeared to be the embodiment of Lincoln, Kennedy, and both Roosevelts. Someone who understood our challenges and had plans to fix them. Someone who would make all the right moves.

But appearances can be deceiving. He still possesses those qualities, but something’s missing.
